The apartments
are available to let, unfurnished, on an initial six, twelve or
twenty-four month assured
short-term tenancy. This means that you sign up for an initial six months,
and at the end of this period can then choose to sign up for a longer
period, say twelve or twenty-four months. This is a particular comfort to people who
are unsure about committing themselves to a rather different way of
life. By renting rather than buying, the whole thing is far
simpler and cheaper as there are no legal fees or stamp duty.
The monthly costs of
an apartment at Elizabeth Venmore Court are as follows:
RENTAL
Your rent
will be payable monthly in advance; this covers the Apartment, the
Warden, the Piper Lifeline system, use and cleaning of all the communal areas and
windows and unlimited use of the laundry facilities. There is no other monthly charge payable to
the Landlord. We ask for a bond of one month's rent against damage to the
apartment and to cover the cost of redecorating should you move
out.
UTILITIES
The Council
Tax is currently Band A, payable to Pembrokeshire
County Council. There is a 25% discount for single person
occupancy.
The gas,
electricity and water supply to each apartment is metered separately;
the meters are read when you sign the lease, and the relevant
utilities suppliers are notified. Obviously, the amount you pay
depends on the amount you use.
